VISION OF OHIEM

One of the main mandates of the body of Christ is the great commission, that is evangelizing the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ that glorifies God Almighty, saves sinners from the kingdom of Satan and gives grace to those who accept it and demonstrates Christ like life.

In accordance with Matthew 28:18-19, the vision of OHIEM is reach out to all nations and nationalities.

The goals of OHIEM are to:

1. Reach the unreached with the Gospel of our savior and Lord Jesus Christ.
2. Train churches leaders and assumes greater responsibility in church ministry.
3. Conduct revival crusades and divine healing services.
4. Conduct prophetic conferences.

Implementation Methodology

• Conduct evangelistic crusades in big stadiums and open fields for tens and hundreds of thousands of peoples in the highly populated cities and rural areas of Ethiopia and neighboring countries.
• Conduct evangelistic conferences to reach out to thousands of people both locally and internationally.
• Reaching the unreached by using mass media:
  
  • Publishing tracts, booklets for free distribution to the unreached.
  • Preaching evangelistic messages by radio, TV and Internet.
  • Training local churches how to reach the unreached through one to one evangelism.
  • Training local churches how to evangelize Muslims.
  • Cooperate with local churches and other local and International para-church organizations to enhance evangelism.
    

  Reach 1,000,000 people each year.
  

Through the balanced impartation of the Word, Spirit and Life, OHIEM is committed to equipping the church for the end time harvest. It is the purpose of OHIEM to provide opportunities for yielded lives to be changed, trained and equipped through the five-fold ministry for the building up of the end time church and to meet the needs of the world at large. The trainings will consist of:

• Conferences,
• Seminars
• Workshops

The training topics will be:

• The Dynamics of evangelism
• How to disciple new converts
• Church planting and church growth
• Stewardship
• Bible Doctrines
• Gifts and Fruits of the Spirit
• Second coming of Jesus Christ

Trainees are nominated by the local churches and/or Evangelical Churches fellowship.
OHIEM will train 15,000 ministers each year.

• Christians to be revived,
• The sick ones to be healed
• Those who are possessed by demons and immorally addicted to be delivered.

Growing Strong

Since its official establishment, OHIEM has been growing fast. Local churches of Ethiopia are inviting us to conduct evangelistic crusades in their towns. The invitations however are often beyond our capacity to handle. The International invitations are plenty as well. This shows how abundant is the mercy and grace of the Lord for OHIEM.
The demand for local evangelistic crusades in different towns (in stadiums for tens and hundreds of thousands of people) since 1996 is as follows:

The demand for international evangelistic conferences, crusades and revival meetings has been increasing. God has opened doors around the globe, from Tokyo to Los Angles, from Oslo to Sydney. Besides the demand for leaders, training both locally and internationally is considerably high.

OHIEM has been using every opportunity to proclaim the Good News by using mass media such as: radio, TV, publications, and the internet. Currently brother Gebru is preaching the gospel on four radio stations in various countries. Besides the Christian TV channel the "Trinity Broadcasting Network" of America, the Phoenix station, has opened their doors for brother Gebru whenever he ministers in the USA.

OHIEM has published three books in Ethiopia's Amharic language, written by Gebru Woldu. OHIEM distributes the 96 page passport size booklet, "PASSPORT TO HEAVEN" freely in evangelistic crusades and conferences. We also have a plan to distribute the booklet freely to university students, prisoners, hospital patients of Addis Ababa and to send it to every one that has post office box in Ethiopia.

In our crusades and conferences we see the mighty hand of God in saving sinners, healing the afflicted, delivering people from demonic bondage and reviving the church.
